Boozy Strawberry Ginger Lemonade

Right now, I’m going to suggest that you run to the store and get everything you need to make this cocktail. It is slightly life changing – not only because it is super tasty on a late summer evening but because you can make nearly everything that goes in it!

First up – we need to make some ginger syrup. Pop on over to Joy the Baker and follow her lead. She’s a genius.

Second – head over to Shutterbean and check out her strawberry vodka tutorial. After making your own strawberry vodka, you may become obsessed with liquor infusions and keep a running list of all the things you want infuse in booze. Not that I know from experience or anything.

After you have all your components made, grab a big glass and get ready for a seriously tasty cocktail hour or three.

The measurements here are approximate since it may depend on the size of your drinking glass (hint: bigger = better). Also, I think cocktails are a pretty personal thing, so add as much of each component as you like!

Per drink, you’re going to need:

2 oz. strawberry infused vodka (make your own, please! It tastes 100x better than the store bought stuff)

1 tbsp. ginger syrup aka the heart of the best ginger ale you have ever had

½ cup lemonade (fresh or store bought)

splash of club soda

strawberries + lemon slices, for garnish

1. Fill glass with ice.

2. Add ginger syrup and strawberry vodka to glass.

3. Add enough lemonade just to barely fill your glass.

4. Top off with club soda.

5. Mix in glass or in a shaker.

Enjoy while sitting on your porch in the summer sunset with friends, which is what I am about to do.
